Obed Verbeek (Maastricht, 1979) finished two studies: fine mechanics and social and cultural work.
“Creating circumstances that stimulate creativity and development”, that is how Obed would sum up his work. As an autodidact, he is used to work with divers materials as well as with extremely divers people. Being a freelance enterpriser, he set up different neirboorhood projects for divers organisations. In addition, he traveled and worked on different project in Africa and Iran.
Obed was busy with as well art installations that he presented on festivals as well as bodycasting. His main drive is the pleasure coming along with the creative process itself.
By now, Obed is, togehter with his girlfriend, busy setting up a renovation project in the middel of Germany. They trying to realise an international work and learning place in an old watermill.
